Partial Inland Metal's established customers list
Asyst Technologies - IMI has had a successful alliance with Asyst Technologies, a major manufacturer of SMIF environment robots, for over three years. Our quality, on time delivery and service oriented relationship has led us to become one of their two most important sheet metal suppliers. On time delivery, quality parts and uncompromising service has been the nucleus that has led to "total and complete satisfaction" by this customer.
Beeline - Beeline produces marketing displays for the retail industry. Inland Metal's prototypes developed from concept to reality are also engineered for manufacturability as part of Inland's service commitment to Beeline. This service provides Beeline with a resource for competent metal fabrication engineering that they do not otherwise possess.
ESS (Pivot International) - IMI recently built 5750 state of the art electronic voting machines for them. Discussions are being held over production of 3,000-6,000 units that represent $400-500K over the next several years.
LAM Research - For LAM Research, IMI was contracted to build the prototype frames models for the LAM's new 300 mm system. Currently Inland Metal is classified as "approved vendor" and major production level contracts are maintained by IMI using Kanban methodology. Work for LAM requires the highest quality standard for precision sheet metal fabrication with CLASS A #4 and #8 cosmetic finishes. Also, IMI routinely supplies parts to various other approved LAM partners for ultimate use in LAM machines.
Strasbaugh - Strasbaugh makes planarizing machinery for semi-conductor manufacturing. Although IMI currently recently completed a contract to make the frames for one type of machine for $25,000 per unit, they are currently on production hold due in large part to the Asian money crisis and a slowdown in the chip industry in general. Prior to the current hold, Strasbaugh - IMI anticipates producing 3 units per month. A number of unsolicited letters of commendation have been presented to Inland Metal.
Swedcom Corporation - Swedcom makes cellular electronic systems and retains over 20% of the world's market share of cellular and PCS base station antennas. For Swedcom, over the last four years, Inland Metal provided "cradle to grave" service including engineering support, fabrication, electronic RF testing, QC documentation, packaging, warehousing and shipment to customers for over 40,000 antennas. Successful antenna mechanical design was also provided for Swedcom as part of the total product support and, in return, Swedcom has rewarded Inland Metal exclusive manufacturing options to their entire line of antenna products.
UNITED STATES NAVY - The United States Navy and Naval Sea Systems Command has been a steady customer of Inland Metal for 34 Years. The company has been approved by the Defense Contract Administration Office for it's inspection system to MIL I 45208. In the 36 years of providing product to the Defense Department, Inland Metal has had an "on time" of better than 99.7% with Quality Deficiency rate of less than 1 part per 10,000. |
